The Sea Gals Women’s Social Group

The Angola by the Bay Women’s Group was started in 1976 by Lynn Jankus, who became its first president.  The purpose of the group then, and now, is to enhance the quality of life in our community, to raise money for local charities and award a $1,200.00 scholarship yearly, to host social events and to just have fun together.  We hold a yard sale, conduct a Mah Jongg Tournament and host a Craft Show annually to earn the money for our donations.

Membership in the Women’s Group is open to women who are members of the community.  Yearly dues are $10.00, collected starting in November.  We meet on the second Wednesday of the month from March through December, usually at 7:00pm in the clubhouse.

Some of the fun things we do include luncheons at local restaurants, guest speakers, sometimes with cooking demos, and trips to interesting places, such as an alpaca farm and a lavender farm.

We welcome new members to visit our meetings and see for themselves what a vibrant group we are!
